Networking two ecosystems: Nierland TechValley in exchange with OIC

A reunion that is a pleasure: The international exchange with Dutch and German representatives from TechValley took place for the second time. This time, the OIC team traveled to Alkmaar with a German delegation - consisting of representatives from the owl maschinenbau e. V. network, startups (Unchained Robotics), education, research and administration, as well as with our OIC ambassador Pekka Stuckert.

The two-day trip focused primarily on further ecosystem networking and continuing work on the project ideas developed in September. During a "Meet & Matter" session at de Gouden Engel windmill in Koedijk, participants got to know each other and gave their input on three specific collaboration opportunities previously identified in the areas of knowledge exchange, joint research and "physical" sites. This was followed by a tour of TechValley companies JASA Packaging Solutions and RAVO Fayat Group, as well as a visit to the Techvalley Fieldlab, located in the innovation lab of Hogeschool Inholland Alkmaar. Both companies already have a connection to Bielefeld, as Jasa cooperates with BÖLLHOFF Group and the city of Bielefeld has a street sweeper from RAVO in use. Hans-Dieter Tenhaef, spokesman of the board of owl maschinenbau: "It is of great value to start a cooperation and co-innovation with this cluster. This trip showed us that there is a great opportunity in the region to collaborate and co-innovate with open innovation to build an ecosystem across borders." We couldn't agree more! Many thanks at this point to José Laan and Sandra Verweij for the great organization on site and of course to all participants involved in this great collaboration. We will expand this international exchange and are already looking forward to the next visit.
