Prof. Dr. Ingo Ballschmieter appointed to the Editorial Board of the World Open Innovation Conference

Once a year, the leading open innovation scientists come together at the World Open Innovation Conference (WOIC) to discuss their latest research findings. This year, Prof. Dr. Ingo Ballschmieter represents the research state of the Open Innovation City Bielefeld!

Already for the 9th time, the World Open Innovation Conference (WOIC) will take place this year. Originally hosted by Henry W. Chesbrough, the developer of the Open Innovation Model, at the University of California at Berkeley, the High Tech Campus of TU Eindhoven has become the venue for the leading global Open Innovation conference. Here, the scientific community as well as representatives from business and society come together to discuss the latest findings of this leading innovation model.

In the run-up to the conference, the organizers issue a topic-specific call for papers (this year: "The Human Side of Open Innovation"). Scientists will then have the opportunity to apply with their research results for an official placement at the conference.

The Editorial Board is responsible for selecting the most relevant and valuable papers to be presented at the conference. Prof. Ingo Ballschmieter, Scientific Director of Open Innovation City and Dean of the Department of Economics at the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM), has now been appointed to this board by the organizers, Prof. Marcel Bogers and Prof. Henry W. Chesbrough.

The Open Innovation City project team is delighted about the impact this will have for the pilot city of Bielefeld and this recognition of its scientific achievements.
