Mastermind Podcast Episode #35

In today's episode, Lambert Hiller is Helen Bielawa's guest. Heller is convinced that science needs to open up - both in terms of sharing research results and interim findings, as well as the entire research process. Researchers should ask themselves who exactly they are doing research for and engage those groups! Look forward to the fresh thought leader episode.

Lambert Heller heads the Open Science Lab at the TIB, the Leibniz Information Center for Technology and Natural Sciences, in Hanover. For him, it is clear that researchers should ask themselves for whom exactly they are actually doing research and then also include these groups. Unfortunately, the impact factor and the like currently represent what he calls a "misguided incentive system," so that open science is not yet sufficiently valued. What is already happening, which examples make him optimistic and what all this has to do with new technologies such as collaboration platforms and Linked Data, you can find out in the new Vordenker episode.

Lambert Heller also has some tips on which collaboration formats work well and how they can sustainably change structures. For Open Innovation City, he has an idea to get more involved with libraries - because they offer more than books these days and have expertise in collaboration and information systems.

Look forward to the new episode, which as usual can be listened to on all common platforms and of course is also here available!
